Shipping & Packing Instructions

Bows

The Wyatt Violin Shop recommends that you pack your instrument's bow in a sturdy cylindrical container. Most hardware stores sell plastic tubes (PVC pipe) and will cut to any length. These tubes are light and strong. They will protect your bow especially well by inserting packing material (newspaper is fine) in each end of the tube.  Wrap the bow (loosely) in thin bubble wrap & tape over the ends.

Instruments

Instruments should be shipped in a hard shell case. Usually the case is sufficient to protect the instrument and may be taped shut with a mailing label attached. The Wyatt Violin Shop recommends the instrument and case be shipped in an appropriately sized box, with additional padding. (The instrument will be returned in this manner). Return shipping is included in the final invoice, with insurance. We welcome visitors at the Wyatt Violin Shop where you may drop off your instrument for repair. However, shipping instruments can be done efficiently and safely.
